Bundleware is a collection of software offered as a package. Many are found in freeware download sites. Although in some cases, these “free” software are trial versions of applications one commonly pays for.

In most cases, bundles are wrapped with a download manager that provides additional programs, thus, opening the door to spyware or PUP downloads.

Bundleware may also refer to software that is pre-installed in newly-purchased hardware (e.g. PC, laptop, smartphone).

Synonyms: bloatware, bundled software, bundler, crapware, pre-installed software
